The great stumbling blocks in the matter of parchment produced by gentiles rch’l.

 Many are unaware of what was discovered last Adar (in 5744) – many of the Chareidim both from Eretz Yisroel and abroad used parchment from non-Jewish factories in the US without supervision and without the signs as explained in Shulchan Aruch. This type of parchment is completely possul. See 98 sources in the sifrei poskim as we have listed further on. The factory owner kept this scandal quiet by bribing the Rabbanim in Eretz Yisroel with large sums of money and to this day he is still bribing them rch”l.

And if you now wish to know the identity of the Rabbanim who accepted bribes, call Rabbanim from all strands of Judaism and ask them about the parchment problem. Some will tell you that all parchment is fine, including the unsupervised type. And ask this Rav whether one may drink Coca-Cola without a hechsher – he will certainly say “Chas vesholom!”
